How does it work?

OneFee has put together a package where we have around 300 participating filling stations throughout the UK, each accepting vouchers for fuel.  The vouchers come in £10 denominations and can be used in the same way as any other sales promotional premium.  Consumers take part in your sales promotion in the normal way i.e. mail in proofs of purchase, claim online, claim instant win prizes etc.  They then receive a GreenFuel4me code (via post, email or SMS), go online, enter their details along with the code and choose their closest participating filling station.  Within 2 working days, they will be mailed a physical fuel voucher that they can use at the forecourt.

How is it green?

When we send the fuel voucher we include a carboncreditz code worth 100 creditz per £10 voucher.  The offset value of the creditz is 10 times the carbon cost of that fuel (based on the average family saloon car and a carbon offset at £12 per tonne).  With the way that carboncreditz works, even if the consumer were to buy merchandise with their creditz, the compulsory 10% offset means that they will at least have neutralised the carbon footprint of the fuel voucher.
